Words Of The Day. 9/16/09

Recalcitrant- I was recalcitrant towards the army officer who told me to do 50 push ups for not parking my car correctly.

Sublime- Mountain scenery is often sublime.

Irate- My younger brother irrated me with his questions.

Verdant- The verdant grass was damp with dew.

Acrimonious- The candidates for President engaged in an acrimonious debate.

Ephemeral- Gains in the stock are often ephemeral.

Tremulous- He is very tremulous.

Silhouette- Suddenly I saw a darkening of the water beyond the jacks, the unmistakable silhouette of a big manta.

Psychopathic- The older target readership becomes immediately apparent when you find that the main villain is a psychopathic murderer!
